Cyborg

Client: DC Comics
Date: September 13, 2007

Ace letterer turned DC art director Ken Lopez called us up to create a logo for the Teen Titans character Cyborg. As I'd only caught a few minutes of the TV show one time with my nephew, first thing I did was go on the internets and use the Google to pull up some images for reference. Funnily enough, this statue I found already had a logo on it, though merely a copy of the Titans' logo.

The obvious hook to the character was his red eyeball, so I built two logos around that -- one using our burly font Stormtrooper and the other with the sleeker and more futuristic DesignerGenes. Lastly, I tried two with an unfinished font, currently called "Millenium", that I've been trying to get through on a logo for years. No luck this time, as they picked version two, and with a few tweaks, it was finished. Hopefully my nephew will be impressed...
